Additional accommodations are available in Pincher at the Ramada and Travelodge. Wherever you choose to stay we encourage you to book your lodgings at the time of confirming your conference ticket as industry, other events and housing shortages in the area may limit availability closer to the event.

Camping is also available. Heritage Acres has camping spots on-site for $20 per night. No hookups, no power, no water. The Veterans Campground in Pincher Creek is also a great site with more amenities.

ADDITIONAL WORKSHOPS!
Lastly, as you make your plans to stay in the area before and after the conference, we have two, unofficial ancillary workshops hosted by past presenters happening around Lightchasers to share with you. First up, before the conference is TJ Thorne and Anna Morgan’s Waterton Lakes Nature Photography Workshop taking place May 19-22, 2025. Find out more info here.

And after the conference Viktoria Haack and Monika Deviat are hosting their Escape to Nature Waterton Workshop happening May 26-29, 2025. Find out more info here. Only three spots remain for this one!

If you’re not a member of our FB group or following us on Instagram, you may have missed our other very important news for 2025:

LOCATION CHANGE!
As mentioned above and on our social media channels, we have a new home for the conference itself, the Zoeteman-Voegelaar barn at the Heritage Acres Farm Museum located just ten minutes north of Pincher. This beautiful space puts the entire event back under one roof and allows us to expand our attendance ever so slightly as well! We will be announcing more info related to the venue over the coming months as our schedule becomes more solidified.

NEW TEAM MEMBER!
We also have a new staff member to introduce, Emmy Plante!
Emmy will be coming on board as a customer service specialist/admin assistant and will be answering attendee emails and taking care of any attendee changes, etc in the lead up to the conference. Emmy comes from an extensive event management background and is someone I’ve worked closely with in the concert scene for 3 years where she’s the production manager for events at the River Cree Resort and Casino. She brings a wealth of experience to the role and will likely be who responds to any questions you send our way.
